These Terms govern your use of the ExpiryFinder iOS app and the expiryfinder.com servers ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
ExpiryFinder helps you find where a date (expiration, best-before, use-by, or manufacturing) is printed on a product's packaging, based on reference photos and tips contributed by users. It is a guide only and does not read dates for you. Always check the date on your own product before consuming.
You keep ownership of the photos, markers, and text you submit. By submitting a contribution, you grant ExpiryFinder a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your contribution in connection with operating and promoting the Service. You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to everything you submit, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it does not contain personal information about you or others.
ExpiryFinder has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not submit content that is unlawful, offensive, deceptive, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, and you must not misuse, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
Users can report content and block contributors. We review reports and may remove content and block contributors who violate these Terms, without notice.
Product information is sourced from Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, and Open Products Facts and is used under the Open Database License (ODbL). We are not affiliated with those projects.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Contributed content may be incomplete or inaccurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExpiryFinder is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or reliance on contributed content.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
